Ken treated me in October for my strong aversion to the harmless garter snakes that live on our property.

Before our session, he explained exactly what he was going to do and assured me that I would be fully aware of everything that happened. Indeed I was.

While it was too late in the season to gauge my reaction to real snakes in our yard, I happened upon the movie “Snakes on a Plane” while channel-surfing that evening. In the past, I ran from the room rather than catch a glimpse of it. After my session with Ken, my reaction to the many, many snakes on the screen was completely neutral: “Oh that big snake is swallowing that guy’s head. Ho-hum.” An unexpected bonus was that all muscle tension completely evaporated from my body during the session and didn’t start to return until the next day.

I can’t say I’m looking forward to seeing snakes in our yard when warm weather returns, but I’m confident that my reaction to them will be more muted than it was before Ken helped me.
